1. What Aides is
Aides is a marketplace. Buyers search for virtual assistants, message them, post roles and manage hires. Assistants present a verified profile and reply to buyers.
Aides is not an employer, staffing agency or party to any agreement between a buyer and an assistant. The buyer and the assistant agree scope, hours, rate and payment between themselves, and the buyer pays the assistant directly.
We do not guarantee that a buyer finds or keeps an assistant, or that an assistant finds or keeps a client.
2. Accounts
You must be an adult with the legal capacity to enter a contract. A buyer account opened for a business is opened on behalf of that business.
Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account and for the seats you give to your team.
We may ask you to confirm your email address, and assistants must complete identity verification before their profile is shown.
3. Identity verification of assistants
Every assistant passes a government ID check and a liveness check before the profile goes live. Profile photos must show the assistant and must not be generated or edited to change identity. Profiles that present an AI persona, a different person or false credentials are removed.
Verification confirms identity at the time of the check. It is not a background check, a reference check or a guarantee of work quality. Buyers remain responsible for their own hiring decisions, trial tasks and agreements.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
Buyer plans and Aides Pro listings are recurring subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly at the prices on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Taxes are added where they apply.
Plan limits count usage in each billing period. Deleting a conversation, post or shortlist does not restore a limit.
Moving to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing is charged right away. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal.
You can cancel at any time in your account. Access continues to the end of the paid period. Payments are final except as set out in the refund policy.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not create fake profiles, impersonate anyone or use generated photos of people.
- Do not post roles, messages or requirements that discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or any other protected characteristic.
- Do not ask an assistant for illegal work, for work that breaks a third party's rules or for unpaid trial work.
- Do not harass, threaten or spam other users.
- Do not copy, scrape or resell profile data or use the service to build a competing directory.
- Do not try to bypass plan limits, security controls or verification.
We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as profiles, role posts and messages. You allow us to host, display and process it as needed to run the service.
You confirm that your content is accurate and that you have the right to share it.
7. Liability
The service is provided as it is offered at the time of use. We work to keep it available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation.
Aides is not liable for the conduct, work or payments of buyers and assistants, or for any loss arising from agreements between them.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending the service
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails verification or is used for fraud. A chargeback opened without contacting us first is a breach of these terms.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email or in the account panel before they apply. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
